07/29/2013 SunPass Welcomes North Carolina Quick Pass Motorists to Florida Toll Roads!

SunPass welcomes North Carolina Quick Pass motorists to Florida toll roads. Motorists from Florida and North Carolina are now able to travel toll roads in each state using their Quick Pass or SunPass transponder to pay for tolls electronically. NC Quick Pass is accepting all SunPass transponders on the Triangle Expressway as a form of payment, as long as the vehicle license plate is registered on the SunPass account. 03/01/2013 SunPass Apple APP Now Available!

The SunPass Apple App is now available for all mobile devices running iOS 6.0 and higher (iPhone, iPad, iPad mini, iPod Touch). The application allows users to easily access and manage their SunPass accounts right in the palm of their hand. Customers can:

  • Add funds using the Easy Pay credit card on the SunPass account
  • View Account Activity for the last 90 days
  • Add and change Transponder status
  • Manage Vehicles
  • Update Customer Information
  • Reset PIN


01/26/2013 Transponder Balances Changed to a Single Prepaid Account Balance for Personal Accounts!

As a result of customer feedback, the SunPass system has been upgraded and all Personal Account transponder balances were merged into a single shared account balance. Our customers said they would prefer to manage one prepaid amount for the entire account rather than individual balances for each transponder. 07/25/2012 SunPass Customers Can Now Resolve Their Unpaid Toll Documents On The Website!

SunPass customers can now resolve their unpaid toll documents online and pay the SunPass rate with no fees. An automated "Update Account and Pay Toll Documents" wizard on SunPass.com will guide customers through the process. Just access your account using your Username, Account or Transponder Number and PIN and enjoy the convenience of managing your toll payments online anytime!


06/15/2012 Toll Rate Indexing Scheduled June 24th

The Florida Department of Transportation will implement toll rate indexing on all of its toll roads and bridges beginning Sunday, June 24th, at 6:00 A.M.

We are pleased to offer three account features which are a result of SunPass customer feedback:

* Update only your credit card expiration date when the credit card number has not changed
* Opt Out of Easy Pay (please note the SunPass Plus Airport Parking feature will be disabled)

Have you received a TOLL-BY-PLATE Invoice in the mail? Or maybe an FDOT Unpaid Toll Violation or Uniform Traffic Citation? If so, you have the option to pay online using a credit/debit card, or you can now pay for documents with cash at an authorized merchant near you. You can find many retail locations near you including your neighborhood grocery, convenience and check cashing stores. Just click here to search for a convenient location.

1/14/2011 Now available - the new SunPass Mini Sticker Transponder - BUY, ACTIVATE, and GO

We are pleased to announce that you can now purchase a Mini Sticker Transponder at many of the same locations that you can replenish your account with cash. The Mini Sticker Transponder works on all Florida toll roads and most bridges. All you have to do is complete three quick and easy steps:

  1. BUY a mini Transponder at an authorized merchant near you. Click here to select a convenient location.
  2. ACTIVATE at the kiosk or register with cash, debit or credit card ($10.00 minimum).
  3. GO once you've attached the MINI Transponder to your vehicle windshield (not for use on motorcycles).

Customers now have another convenient way to fund their SunPass prepaid accounts using cash. No credit card is needed. 8/12/2010 You Can Now Renew Your Bayway Commuter Pass on SunPass.com

We are excited to announce that you can renew your Bayway Commuter Pass online beginning September 1st, 2010. You can also sign up for the new Automatic Renewal feature, which will alleviate the need for you to manually renew your pass each year. For new purchases, please visit the Bayway SunPass office or contact the SunPass Customer Service Center at 1-888-TOLL-FLA (1-888-865-5352) Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M.

2/12/2010 SunPass Parking - Available at Palm Beach International Airport

The convenience of using your SunPass transponder to pay for parking is now available at all Palm Beach International Airport parking garages. To use this feature, simply upgrade your account to SunPass Plus by enrolling in EasyPay auto-replenishment and enjoy the benefit of using your SunPass transponder to pay for parking. Just look for the SunPass Plus sign at the airport parking entrance and exit gates so you can fly through without stopping to pay cash. Many airport parking customers already enjoy this convenience at Tampa and Orlando International Airports. Additional SunPass parking will be available at other major Florida airports in the future.

Type III SunPass Info
New technology upgrades to the SunPass program have recently been implemented.

These upgrades will affect you if you have the original, Type III transponder with the LCD display screen. The LCD display screen no longer displays the amount of the toll paid, or the balance remaining, but it will indicate that the toll has been collected and paid. The display will be reinforced by the transponder beeps. To see an explanation of what the different visual and audible alerts mean Click here.

To better serve SunPass customers, Florida's Turnpike has recently changed the SunPass Call Centers hours of operation. The SunPass Call Center has extended weekday hours and discontinued weekend hours. New hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7am to 7pm, and closed weekends. Please keep in mind you can access your account information online anytime at www.SunPass.com.

1/15/2009 Partnership Provides New Milestone in SunPass Success!

Earlier this year, Florida's Turnpike reached a new milestone when the four millionth SunPass transponder was activated. Helping achieve this significant accomplishment was RESPECT of Florida, a non-profit agency who has provided SunPass transponder packaging services to Florida's Turnpike since 2007. RESPECT of Florida helps disabled Florida citizens reach their potential through gainful employment. This program provides members an opportunity to earn income and learn new skills, empowering them to become more independent and lead more fulfilling lives.
